With VIP you never have to worry about getting "the new guy" or the "DJ in training." All of our DJs are trained on our equipment and utilize our proprietary systems. Amazingly, all of our DJs’ abilities and skills are virtually identical.

Typically DJs are assigned at random unless requested to events about one month prior to your event.

By popular demand we have introduced a new service for an additional fee that will allow you to request and reserve certain entertainers for your event. This will allow you the opportunity to meet and consult with your DJ months prior to your special day. For additional information please speak with a VIP consultant.

How early should we book our event?

The sooner the better. Some of the most popular dates can and do book as early as 12-24 months in advance. Our suggestion is to be prepared to sign a contract as early as 8-12 months before. Depending on availability some dates remain open until the month before. So if you're planning an event for next month, it's worth it to check our availability. Are VIP DJs interactive?

We’ll let you decide how much interaction you would like from us. We can be completely conservative, completely outgoing, or anywhere in between.

Normally, we're only as interactive as necessary to keep your guests having a good time on the dance floor. In any case, you'll never hear one of our DJs yelling, screaming, or even singing over the microphone. Most parties call for a DJ with eloquent emcee skills and the wisdom to use words sparingly. Even at our most outgoing level, we still remain extremely professional and never steal the spotlight.

Do your DJs carry backup equipment?

Yes. We’ll have a second set of essential backup equipment on-site at all times. If a component were to fail, it could easily be switched on-location to avoid interruption in your event.

Is music selection an option at our event?

Yes. We've had customers who have chosen multiple songs and others that have left the music selection completely up to us. Much like you may be an expert at your profession, our DJ’s are experts at reading a crowd. Our recommendation is to provide us with a list of "must play" songs and list of "play if possible" songs. This will leave plenty of room for requests from your guests and DJ selections. You may also stipulate that we not take requests from you guests. Remember that the final decision is always up to you.

In the past 17 years we've learned that keeping the dance floor packed is influenced by many factors, including the order and style in which the songs are played, the way songs are mixed together and the DJ’s interaction. We take all this into consideration to guarantee you a perfect night.

Can we request a "do not play" list?

Yes. Sometimes the do not play list is equally important or more important than the request list itself! We understand that you don't want to hear the song you and your "ex" danced to, or maybe you've been to one too many weddings lately and are sick of the typical wedding songs. And if a guest requests a song that is on your "do not play" list, we will politely and diplomatically recommend another choice.

What if we want a song that you don't have?

Although we have an extensive music library of songs from the 1940s up until today’s current hits, there might be a song that we don’t own. In this rare circumstance, please request the song/songs while booking your event and we will do our best to obtain the selections. Since many songs are recorded by various artists, we don’t mind borrowing your CD for the night to ensure the proper version is used. It will be returned to you before we leave

Is the music played at a loud level?

During the cocktail and dinner hours we control the sound level throughout the banquet room to remain at a very comfortable level. When it's time to dance, the speakers will be repositioned for maximum sound coverage on the dance floor and minimum sound exposure throughout the rest of the banquet room. This means that on the dance floor the music will be at a very comfortable, yet powerful enough level for dancing. Throughout the rest of the room the music will be less predominant so your guests will actually be able to carry on a normal conversation without screaming!

Do your DJs hang any banners or other advertisements?

No. We pride ourselves on being elegant. While we appreciate referral business, we feel our services speak for themselves. The extent of our "advertising" is a few business cards next to our equipment so guests can easily take a card without interrupting the DJ.

Do your DJs take breaks throughout the event?

Our DJ services are non-stop! From our scheduled start time to when you tell us to stop, we’ll never pause to take a break. Unlike bands that stop and rest frequently throughout the night, we can just keep on going and going!

Do you have a video, or can we come view a live event?

Absolutely! We have a promotional video that is available for viewing at our location. The video showcases many different ways to handle your affair and will also give you a good idea of why the initials in our name are VIP.

Unfortunately, we do not have authorization to permit live event viewing at the various facilities we work at. Also keep in mind that no two events are alike and everything is catered around your needs. If you’ve seen one of our DJ’s doing the chicken dance upon client request, it doesn't mean we have to play it at your event.

How far will VIP DJs travel?

We primarily cater to anywhere in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and the Delaware area.

Are we obligated to feed the DJ?

The answer is completely up to you. Our only request is that you let us know either way ahead of time. This way we can make arrangements if necessary. With setup and takedown time, we'll often be at your event for nearly eight hours. If you choose to provide a meal for the DJ, we'd greatly appreciate it.

Does your company carry insurance?

We're protected under our $1 million dollar liability insurance policy (the industry standard).

Does your price include setup time?

We arrive almost an hour prior to your scheduled start time and will be set up long before your first guest arrives. But it's on our own time! The same applies for takedown time after your event.

Is tipping/gratuity expected from the DJ?

We charge a professional rate for a professional service. By no means is tipping/gratuity mandatory or expected. If at the end of the night you feel the DJ has surpassed your expectations and you want to tip him, we would accept it as the utmost compliment. But you're under no obligation to do so.

Do you require a deposit and when is the final payment due?

We require a deposit and signed contract to reserve your date. The final payment of the remaining balance is due at least 28 days (four weeks) prior to your event date. We will gladly accept your personal check, certified check, cashier's check, or money order.

Is there sales tax or any other fees applied to your services?

In New Jersey there is no sales tax added to our services. This means your total package price will be the absolute final price. We have no other additional charges applied to our services, unless your event has some extraneous circumstances that are out of the ordinary (i.e. carrying the equipment up a circular staircase). If this is the case, please contact us and we'll furnish you with an exact quote.

Are your rates negotiable through price matching or other discounts?

Our rates are based on our cost of doing business as well as the value we place on the job. We take all events seriously and attend to each in a professional manner. We're confident you will find our prices to be exceptionally competitive. If our prices are a bit more than you planned to spend, just remember the old saying, "you get what you pay for." When you book our services you're not only paying for incredible DJ entertainment and top-of-the-line equipment, you're paying for peace of mind and professionalism.
